The Smiling Land scholarship fund was created to provide students from Newfoundland and Labrador an opportunity for financial assistance to those who have been accepted to study a post-secondary program outside of our province for an undergraduate or graduate program. This scholarship fund is designed to help students who have been accepted for programs that are not currently offered by post-secondary institutions in the province or a school you wouldn't dream of attending without some financial assistance.
Who can apply?
Any resident of Newfoundland/Labrador who is seeking to further their education through an undergraduate or graduate program outside of the area.
How to apply
1. Access the scholarship application form here. This will open up a PDF you will need to print and complete.
2. Write your essay (typed) An introduction to who you are, what motivates you, and what passion do you bring to the field of study you wish to pursue. Include what your ideal post-secondary institution is and why.
3. Bundle it all together in an email and send to: smilinglandfoundation@gmail.com
